Recommended Read: On Theory by Eiko Fried

Eiko Fried wrote a blog post detailing the problematic absence of philosophy of science in the psychology field, leading to the absence of good theories and riddling the field with weak, unclear, or unspecific theories that cannot be falsified with any data. The post gives a nice illustration about why psychology cannot be separated from philosophy of science.
